In spite of difficult economic situation in the country, arrangement of drive up roads to Shopping and entertainment center Respublika was started at the beginning of September. Initiator, ordering customer and investor of this project is Megapoliszhytlobud LLC. Project developer, KAN Development, demonstrates high-quality approach to creation of both shopping center and infrastructure, which will enable comfortable entry and exit roads. Reconstruction of drive up rods works near Shopping and entertainment center Respublika and widening of Koltsevaya Road part are hold on the segment from Metro hypermarket till Odesskaya square (the project corresponds to Master plan and conception of Kiev development till 2025). Project group of Respublika shopping mall strive not only to construct contemporary object, but also qualitative infrastructure with comfortable drive up rods to future shopping and entertainment center, while developers on lots of construction objects depreciate importance of infrastructure and don’t change existing drive up roads, for reasons of economy of money and time.
Due to construction of new shopping and entertainment center and with account of potential future development of street and road system of this district, after detailed study of current situation with the involvement of both foreign leaders of this branch (Latvian company Solvers, consultants from France and Portugal) and leading native specialists (Kievdormostproekt Institute and Kievavtodor utility provider), decision of complex reconstruction of Koltsevaya Road part in accordance with worldwide standards has been taken. Main goals: unload Koltsevaya Road and neighboring roads, make road scheme being comfortable for automobilists, pedestrians and mobility impaired people. Also, it’s very important to organize reconstruction works in way the movement on the road during these massive works was not complicated.
Project works are divided into stages. First stage is rerouting of city utility networks, where main work is reconstruction of high-pressure gas pipeline of 700 mm diameter. These works on the part of Kasiyana street are conducting already with participation of Kievgas PLC.
Kievavtodor utility provider will accomplish on the further stages extension of existing road and construction of new swings and drive up roads. Sub-contractor should fulfill the goal of full reconstruction of 1701 m of roads, 649 m of pavement, realize two swings, two traffic lights and four public transport stops. In addition, it’s assumed to replace road surface on the neighboring roads, which won’t be reconstructed. Once road construction works are finished, urban landscaping with lawn and green plants landing will be realized.
Supposed investments for this project realization – abut 45 mln UAH, where no Kiev budget finances will be involved.
Conducted reconstruction of road chain will improve and simplify road traffic on Koltsevaya Road and solve two main targets. First of all, all the people willing to visit Shopping and entertainment center Respublika will be able to get without any difficulties and holdings both on the parking for 3500 places and leave shopping center after purchasing in any direction. Secondly, transit transport will move on Koltsevaya Road along Shopping and entertainment center Respublika without intercrossing with flows of visitors and residents of surrounding areas.
In such a way all the volunteers to visit Shopping and entertainment center Respublika will have the chance to do this without any difficulties or time losses, and most importantly – with good positive emotions.
